I really appreciated the involvement of my teacher, the fact that he used to know each of his students and that he was able to give specific advice to each of us according to our strengths and weaknesses. Giving lessons to people with such different backgrounds and cultures should be difficult, but my teacher managed to use it as a tool to raise our interest in German. On top of this each German class was really pleasant because of the different activities, switching from books exercise to group talk and grammar learning make it easier to process a new language. These lessons have increased my confidence significantly in German and I can now see the impact on my daily life. (Florian)
Raina is a great teacher! She took the time to understand and work with the range of different experience levels in the class, ensuring those who were more experienced were not bored and those with little experience didn’t feel left behind. Raina and her team have been teaching German at my company for over 6 months now. The classes are very easy going and, even though there are several levels in the same group, Raina prepares the class in order to be sure that everyone is learning and evolving. It's a more dynamic type of class, that fits into each person's needs and expectations. Raina is also very patient with us - which I think is very positive since we're not an easy group due to the level difference. (Erica)
I have been learning German now for 2 years and have been invariably impressed with the teachers I have had. They manage to cope with the difficulties of students of different levels and backgrounds and time available and still draw everyone together into a cohesive, interesting and useful lesson. I’ve been taught by Raina in both group and individual lessons, and found both to be highly informative and enjoyable. I felt that she was very much on my wavelength (as a younger person working in the creative industries), and lesson materials were well-tailored to my needs and tastes. A german course is offered within the company! I was excited when I first heard of it and yes, it has been great so far. Teachers have bountiful experiences; they are quick to understand the class's character and respond with different strategies. Raina has been an amazing teacher in our office. She handles a variety of skill levels in her class with amazing ease and professionalism, and is always keen to help us with things we struggle with or concepts and vocabulary that we are curious about. I do appreciate the opportunity getting to learn Deutsch with such a great team, i thought it would be tough and challenging but as a matter of fact and with the great way of Raina, it turned out to be fun and intuitive, with activities involved, songs and discussion, i gained more confidence to communicate with people although my word count was still too few. It is very enjoyable to take the german class by Raina. Raina is always so patient and being so supportive even though the class is mixing with advance and beginner student. My German classes with Eva were awesome.
It was a great time and my level of German has really improved.
First of all, Eva is very competent, so I got all my questions answered, even when they had nothing to do with the current topic. When I needed some extra information, Eva sent it to me per email after our classes - sometimes even during the weekends. I could feel that she is personaly involved and motivated (as much as I am) to make my German better.
Besides, she is a very nice person, so it was a pleasure to meet her every week.
To summarize, Eva is just brilliant, the best teacher I can imagine. And if I decide one day to take German classes outside of my company, I will certainly choose Eva.
